DESIGN THINKING: THAI LIVING STAR STEMS

Abstract

Integration of Design Thinking and STAR STEMS in teaching and learning for students in Bangkok and its vicinity can be highly beneficial for Thai intelligence. Design Thinking, focusing on creative problem-solving through analysis and user-centric solutions, synergizes with STAR STEMS, which emphasizes developing analytical, creative, and self-learning skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Social Sciences. Together, they can foster innovation, address societal issues, and meet community needs effectively. By utilizing STAR STEMS as a foundation and employing Design Thinking to analyze and create innovative solutions tailored to Thai communities, we can tackle social problems such as educational access, local economic development, and natural resource management. Additionally, integrating Design Thinking and STAR STEMS can enhance workforce skills and organizational culture, fostering a culture of creativity and problem-solving. This integration represents a significant step towards addressing community needs and possibilities in Thai society, emphasizing the importance of STEM skills linked with cultural understanding and intelligence.
