Abstract

This quantitative research aimed to improve the teaching methods of vocational teachers that could enhance the learning skills in the 21^st century. Under the Pre-Experiment Design method, this research contained 2 stages of study including 1) the establishment of the model to develop the teaching method that could enhance the learning skills in the 21^st century and 2) identification of the efficiency of this model.

The results indicated that the synthesized model consists of 5 stages including 1) Evaluation before and after the training 2) Training about learning skills in the 21^st century 3) Analysis and synthesis the teaching method that could improve learning skills in 21^st century 4) Recap the detail of project-based teaching method and 5) The integration of project-based teaching methods to improve the learning skills in 21^st century in which the integration process consists of 5 sub-process including the preparation, topic assignment, implementation, presentation, and self-evaluation. The experts has been agreed about the accordance of contents and method for five stages of the model that the researcher created. The results of the experiment on the sample showed that the achievement after the study was statistically significant higher than before the study at degree of 0.05.; and the self-evaluation results after the training was statistically significant higher than before the training at degree of 0.05.
