The costs and returns of rice among the 12 Huaphai Muang Singburi

Abstract

This research was to study of cost and rice planting return of the minor farmers in Moo 12 Tambon Hua Phai, Muang District, Sing buri Province. The purpose were 1) to study the cost and  return on investment of rice planting 2) to analyze the structure of cost and return on investment of rice planting. The interviewed samples included 10 farmers who engaged in rice planting. The result of this research found that the rice planting investment of the minor farmer consisted of 5,166.23 baht per Rai of an average cost structure. It consisted of an average cost of raw materials that was 647.55 baht per Rai. An average cost of wages was 1,895 baht per Rai. An average production cost was 2,623.68 baht per the return on the investment from rice plant. In addition, the investment of minor farmer's rice planting  yield on the average 0.71 tones per Rai.  An average income was 5,902.25 baht per Rai. An average net profit was of 478.50 baht per Rai. The break even point was 0.22 ton per Rai. A profit rate per  cost was 9.26%. A profit rate per sales was 8.12% . A return on investment was 7.14%. A return on asset was 27.12%.
