Data Analysis of Rice Cultivation Area in the Northeast Region by Using Landsat Image

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the data of rice cultivation area in the Northeastern region from Landsat image with image resolution of 30 meters. The Landsat image was classified by using unsupervised method and the K-Means grouping method. The steps in translating and analyzing the data of rice cultivation area consisted of 4 steps, namely downloading image data, process before processing image, editing and adding the data of rice cultivation areas and analysis image. The result of data analysis of rice cultivation area in the Northeastern region from Landsat image during September 2019 showed that the overall Northeast region has rice cultivation areas with the total number of 35,805,247 rais. The 3 province which has the most areas in rice cultivation in the northeastern region included Ubon Ratchathani province at 10.82%, Nakhon Ratchasima province at 10.24% and Roi-Et province at 8.74% respectively.
