Abstract
The Physical improvement studies of School Buildings and Laboratories of Department of Mechanical Tools under the Institute of Vocational Education Northeastern Region 1 has been prepared with the following objectives : 1) To study the use characteristics of school buildings and operating areas of Mechanic 2) To study room utilization rate and laboratory space in mechanic of Colleges under the Institute of Vocational Education Northeastern Region 1 and 3) to establish an information system on the use of school buildings and Mechanic. The colleges under the Institute of Vocational Education Northeastern Region 1. The sample group was used in this study was 350 people, there were students, teachers, professors, in the field of mechanic at all levels, under the Institute of Vocational Education Northeastern Region 1. The research instrument was questionnaires about the efficiency of the use of mechanical buildings and laboratories under the Institute of Vocational Education Northeastern Region 1. Data collection ; a researcher divided the information into 4 parts : 1) Preliminary data from the literature review and other sources 2) data obtained from area surveys and participants observed by the researcher 3) data from questionnaires of students and teachers and 4) data from interviewed with students, representative students, and professors in the field of study. The results of the research found that ;The students' and teachers' opinions on problems with the use of school building spaces including the building; it was found that the school building was at the highest level, followed by the environment and classroom arrangement. The students' and teachers' opinions on the improvement of indoor space in the building; it was found that improvement of indoor space, the school building was at the highest level, followed by the classrooms and the bathrooms, respectively. The students and teachers have a consistent opinion that there should be a specific building for the mechanic field. Most students and teachers thought that the current school buildings are unsuitable to use. What should be improved or solved the most are classrooms on each floor, followed by supporting parts such as toilets/device storage and the number of classes in the current school buildings are not enough respectively. Most activities appropriately. There should be guidelines for improving learning equipment and media, followed by the size of the classroom. And they thought that the school building for the mechanic field should separate classrooms for operations and special classrooms, respectively.
