The Creation and Efficiency Evaluation of a Pump System Control Training Set via a Programmable Logic Controller

Abstract
The purposes of this study were to 1) create a pump system control training set; 2) evaluate the efficiency of a pump system control training set; and 3) evaluate a satisfaction of learners towards a pump system control training set. The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) TM241 and, Human Machine Interface (HMI) GTO2310 used in the study were Schneider brand as the controller and result display respectively. The sample group were 22 firs- year Vocational Diploma students in the department of Electric, Rayong Technical College. The statistics used in the research were mean () and standard deviation (S.D.). The results revealed that the overall score of a quality evaluation of a pump system control training set using a programmable logic controller by 5 experts were at a high level (= 4.40, S.D.= 0.31). Efficiency evaluation of the training set in percentage of the average score was 83.75/82.27, which is higher than the specified criteria at 80/80, and satisfaction evaluation of learners towards the pump system control practice set with a programmable logic controller in overall were at a high level (
= 4.42, S.D. = 0.17). It indicated that the training set created had high quality and can be used for teaching and learning.
