Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the current state of school management to promote further vocational education, 2) to develop a participatory school management model through cooperative networks, called the “RCN Model,” and 3) to evaluate the suitability and feasibility of the developed model. This research employed a research and development design, comprising three phases studying the current conditions and problems, constructing and developing the model, and evaluating its suitability and feasibility. The target groups were personnel of Roi Et Vocational College and members of the cooperative network committee. The “RCN Model,” which stands for Readiness, Collaboration, and Networking Management, consists of three main components based on the System Theory 1) Inputs, such as personnel readiness, budget, and network of target schools; 2) Processes, including policy formulation, participatory activities, and collaborative operations; and 3) Outputs, such as students pursuing vocational education, and sustainable development. The evaluation results by experts revealed that the developed model was highly appropriate and feasible and can be effectively applied as a management approach to promote further vocational education.
