STRATEGY OF MANAGING DUAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION FOR A BACHELOR'S DEGREE CURRICULUM

Abstract

This mixed-method research, titled "A Strategy for Managing Dual Vocational Education for a Bachelor's Degree Curriculum," had two main objectives: 1) to study the current situation and problems of dual vocational education management for bachelor's degree programs at the Institute of Vocational Education : Northeastern Region 3 ; and 2) to propose a strategy for managing dual vocational education for bachelor's degree programs at the Institute of Vocational Education : Northeastern Region 3     The sample for the quantitative data collection consisted of 265 administrators, teachers, students, and parents from colleges offering bachelor's degree programs. The targets for the qualitative research were 10 representatives from co-producing enterprises who were interviewed and 10 experts who participated in a focus group discussion. The questionnaire had a reliability coefficient of 0.95. The research findings are as follows : 1. The overall current state of dual vocational education management for a bachelor's degree curriculum at the Institute of Vocational Education : Northeastern Region 3 was at a medium level (mean = 3.47). 2. Strategies for managing dual vocational education for a bachelor's degree curriculum at the Institute of Vocational Education : Northeastern Region 3 were identified as appropriate and feasible. These are :   1) Quality of students or graduates 2) Quality of teaching and learning management 3) Quality of management 4) Collaboration between educational institutions and enterprises 5) Qualifications and professional standards of the dual vocational education system
