EDUCATION PROVISION STRATEGIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SENIOR CITIZENS LIFE QUALITY IN DENCHAI MUNICIPALITY SUBDISTRICT

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) to review the concept of educational management for improving the quality of life for the elderly in Denchai Municipality Subdistrict; 2) to examine the educational environment to improve the quality of life for the elderly; 3) to define the educational management strategies for the elderly; 4) to evaluate the educational management strategies for the elderly. The study was divided into 4 stages. 1) Study conceptual framework of educational management and assess the conceptual framework. 2) Examine the environment of education for the elderly by analyzing the internal environment for strengths and weaknesses and external environment as well as opportunities and threats by means of forum with stakeholders. 3) Define strategies for educational management to improve the quality of life for the elderly in (Draft 1) by matching with TOWS Matrix. 4) Review and validate the strategies by the experts and the stakeholders (Draft 2). 5) Evaluate strategies for educational management for the elderly. The main strategies were: 1) Education policy to improve the lives of the elderly into practice. 2) Promote the use of education budget to improve the quality of life for the elderly. 3) Promote potentiality of elderly for quality of life and good living in the community. 4) Promote settings and environments favorable for education management. 5) Develop technology for learning process. 6) Develop potentiality of personnel in education management for elderly. 7) Upgrade quality of education management evaluation.
