Abstract

This article aims to evaluate image perception in educational institution with compact pattern of land use. The main purposes are: 1) to study land use, building characteristics and intensity of land use 2) to study and evaluate the imaginary component perception of the users 3) to suggest developing areas based on the evaluation by users. Six steps of methodology used in this study; 1) review of concepts and theories 2) explore the land use, building characteristics and image perception 3) questionnaire design and map 4) sampling 16 buildings to represent the height and analysis of the density of buildings and land use 5) analyze all data to evaluate the image perception 6) to suggest developing areas. The samples were divided into 2 groups: the staff; and visitors of Srinakharinwirot Prasarnmit campus


The results show that Srinakharinwirot Prasarnmit campus has compact pattern of land use and a high intensity of building and land use. The image perception shows that the participants felt the land is complicated, lack of green area and leisure areas. A directional sign and develop areas to increase green areas and leisure areas at the most recognisable points are recommended to solve the problem.
