SENIOR APPRECIATION ATTITUDE AND PROSOCIAL BEHAVIOR OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS STUDYING IN DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AT KASETSART UNIVERSITY

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to; 1) to study the level of senior appreciation attitude and prosocial behavior of undergraduate students in department of psychology, faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University; 2) to compare the prosocial behavior of undergraduate students in department of psychology, faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University by personal factors; 3) to study relationship between senior appreciation attitude and prosocial behavior of undergraduate students in department of psychology, faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University. Samples of this study were 500 undergraduate students of Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University in academic year 2019, by using accidental random sampling. Data was analyzed by using statistical packages for social science program. The statistics consisted of percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The results of this study indicated that; 1) level of senior appreciation attitude and prosocial behavior of students were high; 2) students with different years of study and activities involved with elderly had different prosocial behavior with the statistical significant level at .05, while students with different gender and habitat had no difference of prosocial behavior; 3) senior appreciation attitude was positively correlated with prosocial behavior with the statistical significance level at .001
