Figure of Speech in The Novel Chaochan phomhom Nirat phrathat Inkhwaen

Abstract

The paper on analysis of the figures of speech in Chaochan phomhom
Nirat Prathat Inkwaen, a partial to the study on wisdom power in the literature
of Mala Khamchan by qualitative method, aimed to investigate wisdom
power of Mala Khamchan in term of the use of figures of speech in the literature.
The results revealed that this novel employed 10 types of figures of
speech i.e. 1) Simile 2) Metaphor 3) Personification 4) Hyperbole 5) Epithet
6) Allusion 7) Reduplication Alliteration 9) Onomatopoeia 10) Symbol.
