A Comparative Study of Thai and English Consonants’ Phonemes

Abstract
This article aims to present a comparative study of Thai and English consonants’ phonemes searching, analyzing and synthesizing the data collected from many different sources including academic books, researches and academic papers to find out the result of similarities and differences between their both consonants’ phonemes of Thai and English languages. After synthesized data, the result of study were found that Thai and English consonants’ phonemes have both differences and similarities. This consisted of 8 similar and 11 different items. The result of the study will be more beneficial and affective for the teaching and learning the foreign language.
