Abstract
This article aimed to present conceptual metaphor related toa life as appeared in the diary of life of Seksan Prasoetkun, taken from his 9diaries. Linguistic concept of metaphor as propounded by Lakoff and Johnson was adopted for a study. The finding of research indicated that there were 13 conceptual metaphors of life as follows: life is food, life is song, life is human being, life is performance, life is travel, life is competition or sport, life is fighting or war, life is university, life is train, life is ocean, life is vegetable, life is document, and life is enclosed area.
