Abstract

The major objective of the research was to study, analyze and present the results of knowledge focusing on study and preservation process of folk wisdom in Klang Muen village, Klang Muen sub-district, Muang district, Kalasin province. The study showed that eight issues


of the basic knowledge of Klang Muen village, Klang Muen sub-district, Muang district, Kalasin province consisted of location, history, ways of life, general information, infrastructure and society, population and families, interesting places, natural resources, habits, folk wisdom and preservation of folk wisdom. The study revealed that eight issues of folk wisdom, preservation and inheritance of folk wisdom consisted of food and home, religion and belief, education, traditions arts and culture, natural resource preservation, Career art Craft, Doctor and Medicinal plants, and play performance. The qualitative research on “The Folk Wisdom : A Case Study of Klang Muen Village, Klang Muen Sub-district, Muang District, Kalasin Province provided useful information and prominence of the village reflecting its beauty and values. Therefore, the beauty and values should be preserved,  promoted and supported by many sectors concerned with. The beauty and values of the village should be preserved and developed sustainably for empirical identity of the village to society.
