Abstract

This research paper aimed to analyze themes and strategies of the literatures of the Mekong basin ecological fiction by Wutthisan Chanwibun, based on two novels: "The River and the Old Man: Tales from Khon Phi Long" and "The Return of Seagu ll", by using concepts and criticism of literature. From the study, it can be concluded that the 2 novels have 3 important concepts, namely the world views concept, culture and beliefs concept and natural ways concept. In terms of presentation strategy, 3 strategies were found as follows: Strategies to present through the Plot, Strategies by Point of View, Strategies presented through the Characters.
