Abstract

This article aimed at reviewing a collection of short stories entitled " The Mystery of the Black Panther and Other Stories " of Kamphon Nirawan in the theme of the short stories and the way to present the interesting content even though the entire book was in the prose form. From the criticism, it was found that Kamphon used realism writing to show the truth of life and society and writing of the magical realism, which was the key concept to make stories interesting and realistic. However, the main idea of ​​these short stories was a reflection of the complex realities that prevailed within society and encouraged readers to realize the value of living being whether it was nature, animal and human. From the aforesaid text, it was considered that this collection of short stories was full of value and quality which were the most suitable for readers or those who want to study literature in the magical realism.
