Code-switching in the game casting of the HEARTROCKER YouTube channel

Abstract
This article aimed to study Code-switching in the casting game SEKIRO: Shadows Die Twice of the Ak HEARTROCKER YouTube channel based on Ho (2007)’s classification framework by collecting 5 video clips of the game casting SEKIRO: Shadows die twice. The results of the study revealed that 3 languages were used to switch languages with Thai language including English language, Japanese language and Northeastern Thai dialect. The characteristics of Thai-English code-switching were found 7 characteristics including Lexical words was the highest occurrence of code-switching, followed by Phrases, Short forms, Proper nouns, Letters of the alphabet, Incomplete sentences and Single full sentences. The characteristics of Thai-Japanese code-switching were found 5 characteristics including Proper nouns was the highest occurrence of code-switching, followed by Lexical words, Short forms, Phrases, and Single full sentences. Lastly, The characteristics of Thai-Northeastern Thai dialect code-switching were found 2 characteristics including Phrases and Single full sentences.
