ภาพสะท้อนสังคมของยุโรปในจดหมายเหตุลาลูแบร์

บทคัดย่อ
บทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภาพของตะวันตกที่สะท้อนจากจดหมายเหตุลาลูแบร์ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าจดหมายเหตุลาลูแบร์สะท้อนภาพของชาติตะวันตกในยุคสมัยนั้นด้านต่างๆ ได้แก่ เป็นชาติที่มีความเป็นนักวิชาการที่ใช้กระบวนการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ในการแสวงหาความรู้ ชาติตะวันตกให้ความสำคัญกับวิชาเรขาคณิตและวิชากลศาสตร์ ชาติตะวันตกให้ความสำคัญกับการทำแผนที่ ชาติตะวันตกมีความเจริญด้านดาราศาสตร์ ชาติตะวันตกให้ความสำคัญกับปฏิทิน ชาติตะวันตกให้ความสำคัญกับการศึกษาในระบบโรงเรียน และชาติตะวันตกมีความเจริญก้าวหน้าด้านวิทยาศาสตร์การแพทย์ ภาพสะท้อนเหล่านี้ชี้ให้เห็นว่ายุโรปเป็นชาติที่มีความเจริญก้าวหน้าทางวิทยาศาสตร์เทคโนโลยีด้านต่างๆ มาเป็นเวลายาวนานเนื่องจากได้รับมรดกวัฒนธรรมด้านความรู้ศิลปวิทยาการจากกรีกแล้วนำมาพัฒนาและสร้างองค์ความรู้ใหม่
