Linguistic Strategies and Representation of Thai Youth in The Commemorative Book for Thai Youth Day 2023

Abstract

The article aimed to investigate 1) Presentation of structure in the commemorative book for Thai Youth Day 2023, 2) Language strategies in the commemorative book for Thai Youth Day 2023, 3) Representation in the commemorative book for Thai Youth Day 2023. The results of this study revealed that the structure of the presentation in the Thai Youth Day 2023 commemorative book has the following elements: Introduction, content and summary. The results of this article revealed that 1 paragraph, 2 paragraphs, 3 paragraphs, 4 paragraphs, and 5 paragraphs. There were 4 language strategies as follows: 1) Using attribute words, 2) Using purposive sentence structure, 3) Using logical sentence structures, 4) Using meaningful sentences to express feelings of appreciation. 3) Representation of Thai youth consisted of 4 characteristics as follows:)Thai youth who trained themselves according to the desired characteristics of Thai society. 2) Thai youth who were skilled in many fields. 3)Thai youth who had space to show their talents. 4)Thai youth who played a role in global society.
