The study results revealed that: 1) the Chinese modal verb “会” (huì) appeared with the highest frequency; 2) Each Chinese modal verb was accompanied by an English explanation, including its negative form; 3) Chinese modal verbs were predominantly used in affirmative sentences; 4) Practice exercises for Chinese modal verbs involved composing sentences based on provided pictures. The study suggested that teachers should assess the textbook structure in terms of quantity, standards, and utilization to maximize the benefits for learners.
