PEOPLE’S OPINIONS TOWARDS TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OF THE TRAFFIC POLICE, MUEANG NAKHON SI THAMMARAT POLICE STATION, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this thematic paper were as follows:- 1) To study the people’s opinions towards traffic management of the traffic police, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station, Nakhon Si Thammarat province.2) To compare the people’s opinions towards traffic management of the traffic police, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station, Nakhon Si Thammarat province in terms of sexes, ages, degrees of education, occupations, monthly incomes and matters of contact as differently. 3) To study the suggestions were concerned with problems and resolutions towards traffic management of the traffic police, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The population were people who contact office that concerned with traffic at Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station at the number of 1,873 persons, sample size according to the table of Krejcie and Morgan, got the sample at the number of 317 persons, the instrument for data collection was questionnaire both closed and open ended questions, data analysis by package computer program. The statistics were used as follows; frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Z.test, F.test and testing the difference of mean in each pairs by LSD method (Least Significant Difference).


         


          The results found that :-


          1) The people’s opinions towards traffic management of the traffic police, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station, Nakhon Si Thammarat province found that by overviews were at moderate level, when considered in each aspects found that the aspect of facility was the highest average and followed up the aspect of security and the aspect of behavior of service was the lowest average when classified in terms of sexes, ages, degrees of education, occupations, monthly incomes and matters of contact found that by overviews were at moderate level.


          2)The comparative results of people’s opinions towards traffic management of the traffic police, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, in terms of sexes, ages, degrees of education, occupations, monthly incomes and matters of contact as differently found that there were different as statistical significance at .001.


3)The suggestions were concerned with problems and resolutions towards performance of traffic work of police, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat police station, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The problems found that some of police spoke impolitely while catching people who commit for the wrong of traffic, some of traffic marks were destroyed, lots of traffic jam, lots of construction on the traffic roads as a results to be jam of traffic. The resolutions found that there should be trained about speech politely with people in every months, there should be rebuilted the destroyed traffic marks, there should be helped in rush hour, there should be looking after the construction on the traffic road for convenience of traffic.
