PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS 2019 ACCORDING TO THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS IN THE AREA OF HUA SAI DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

        The purpose of this study was to study the epidemic prevention of the Coronavirus 2019 under the principles of the Four Noble Truths and to recommend guidelines for epidemic prevention of the Coronavirus 2019 among the people in the area of ​​Hua Sai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. It was a mixed methods research (Mixed-Research Method). The sample group comprised 398 people. The research tool used to collect data was a closed-ended and open-ended questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The tools used to collect qualitative data included in-depth interviews from the specific survey method of five cases.

        The research found that:

        1. Overall, the epidemic prevention of the coronavirus 2019 under the principles of the Four Noble Truths was at a high level (=3.81). When considering each aspect, the Path aspect has the highest mean (=4.04), followed by Nirodha (=4.02) and Samudaya (=3.25), respectively.

        2. For guidelines in using the Noble Truths for epidemic prevention of the Coronavirus 2019, the Four Noble Truths were used in all four aspects to prevent the epidemic of the Coronavirus 2019 by inserting the Dhamma principles for epidemic prevention of the Coronavirus 2019 in Hua Sai district, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
