The Motivation for Further Study at Higher Vocational Certificate Level of Mattayomsuksa VI Students under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Chaiyaphum

Abstract
The objectives of this research were as follows: 1) to study the motivation for further study at higher vocational certificate level of Mattayomsuksa VI students under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Chaiyaphum and 2) to compare the motivation for further study at higher vocational certificate level of Mattayomsuksa VI students based on gender, academic performance, and interest in vocational skills. The sample group consisted of 357 teachers from the Private Vocational College under Chaiyaphum Provincial Vocational Education Office, with 340 questionnaires returned, representing a 95% response rate. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance. The research findings were as follows: 1) The overall level of motivation for further study at higher vocational certificate level of Mattayomsuksa VI students under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Chaiyaphum was high, with a mean of 4.24. When considering individual aspects, all aspects showed high levels of motivation, ranked from highest to lowest: image, personal reasons, career opportunities, and social and economic factors, with means of 4.26, 4.25, 4.25, and 4.20, respectively. 2) The comparison results showed that students of different genders had statistically significant differences in motivation at the 0.05 level. However, there were no statistically significant differences in motivation based on academic performance or interest in vocational skills.
