Administrative Model of Primary Citizenship Development for Primary Students in Chonburi Province

Abstract

The purpose aimed to 1) Studied the factors that influenced the organization of activities to foster citizenship among students in primary schools, 2) Developed a management model for activities that promoted citizenship among students in primary schools, and 3) Evaluated the management model for activities that promoted citizenship among students in primary schools under the jurisdiction of the Primary Educational Service Area Office in Chonburi Province. A mixed-methods research approach was employed, divided into three phases. In the first phase, analysis of factors influencing the organization of activities to foster citizenship among primary school students, the sample group consisted of 436 school administrators and teachers, from which 252 participants were selected. Data was collected using a questionnaire, and the analysis was conducted by calculating the mean to study the structural model of causal factors. The second phase is the development and improvement model, and the third phase is, evaluation of a management model for activities promoting citizenship among primary school students. The study focused on primary schools under the jurisdiction of the Primary Educational Service Area Office in Chonburi Province. A total of seven experts participated in a focus group discussion. Additionally, the evaluation of the management model involved 30 experts, who were purposively selected. The evaluation was conducted using an assessment tool to measure validity, appropriateness, and feasibility for implementation. The result of the study found that, overall, the factors influencing the organization of activities to foster citizenship among primary school students under the Primary Educational Service Area Office in Chonburi Province had a high average score. The proposed model includes four key steps: planning, implementation, assessment, and acceptance/modification. The evaluation of the management model’s accuracy, appropriateness, and feasibility indicated that, overall, it was rated at the highest level. This suggests that the proposed management model is suitable and practical for implementation in primary schools under the jurisdiction of the Primary Educational Service Area Office in Chonburi Province.
