Violin Exercises Southern Folk Songs based on Suzuki's Concept Aow Phayun Kindergarten, Pak Phayun District, Phatthalung Province

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) create a violin exercise using southern folk songs based on Suzuki's concept to be effective at 70 percent and have no less than 70 percent of students pass the criteria, and 2) study the satisfaction of learners towards learning management by violin exercise using southern folk songs based on Suzuki's concept. The target group was 20 students in grades 4-6 who were violin students in the international string orchestra at Aow Phayun Kindergarten School, Phatthalung Province, 2nd semester, academic year 2024, obtained by purposive sampling. Students who had played violin for no more than 1 year were selected. The research instruments consisted of 1) 6 learning management plans, 2) 3 skill exercises, 3 exercises, 3 songs, 3) violin performance evaluation form, and 4) student satisfaction evaluation form towards violin exercise using southern folk songs based on Suzuki's concept. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and percentage. The results of the research found that 1) the post-test was higher than the 70 percent criterion. and there were students who passed the criteria at 73.17 percent, and 2) the satisfaction of students with the violin practice using southern folk songs according to Suzuki's concept was at a high level with an average value of 4.40.
