Abstract

This academic article presents an integrative conceptual framework between Sustainable Educational Leadership and Metacognition as a critical mechanism for developing modern educational leaders who are equipped to respond effectively and sustainably to the complex transformations of the 21st century. The article examines the fundamental elements of sustainable leadership, the strategic roles and competencies of leaders, and the development of metacognitive skills to foster critical thinking, self-regulation, and ongoing professional growth. Drawing upon relevant international theories and research, this study offers practical implications for implementation at both the institutional and policy levels.
