Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this study were: (1) to investigate the current and desirable conditions of risk management practices of school administrators, and (2) to assess the priority needs for risk management of school administrators in schools under Nakhon Phanom Municipality. The sample consisted of 140 school administrators and teachers, selected through stratified random sampling. The sample size was determined based on the Krejcie & Morgan table. The research instruments were two sets of five-point rating-scale questionnaires, focusing on the current and desirable conditions of risk management. Both questionnaires possessed content validity indices (IOC) ranging from 0.80 to 1.00. The item discrimination indices ranged from 0.49 to 0.83, and the reliability coefficients for the entire questionnaires were 0.96 and 0.97, respectively. Data were analyzed using percentages, means, standard deviations, and the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNIModified). The results revealed that the overall current condition of risk management practices among school administrators was high, while the overall desirable condition was at the highest level. Regarding the assessment of priority needs for risk management, the areas ranked from highest to lowest priority were: compliance with laws and regulations, followed by strategic, financial, and operational.
