Abstract
This research aimed to compare fine motor skills of pre-kindergarten children aged 2–3 years at Ban Mae Klong Yai Child Development Center, under the Moko Kro Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Umphang District, Tak Province, before and after participating in creative art activities. The target group consisted of 20 pre-kindergarten children aged 2–3 years, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included a creative art activity plan using scrap materials, implemented over a period of 12 weeks, 5 days per week, 30 minutes per day, for a total of 60 sessions, and a fine motor skills assessment covering two aspects: fine muscle control ability and eye–hand coordination. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and t-test statistics. The results showed that after participating in the creative art activities, the mixed-age pre-kindergarten children (aged 2–3 years) demonstrated significantly higher fine motor skills than before participating in the activities, at the .01 level of statistical significance.
