A Study of the Components of Ethical Leadership of Educational Administrators

Abstract
Ethical leadership is crucial for school administrators in today's rapidly changing environment, yet there is a notable lack of research on its relevant components. This study aimed to explore the components of ethical leadership among school administrators using a mixed-methods research approach comprising two phases. The first phase involved analyzing 10 relevant concepts, theories, documents, and research sources to identify components of ethical leadership. The second phase focused on evaluating the appropriateness and feasibility of these components with the help of five experts. The research used document synthesis and a 5-point Likert-scale questionnaire as its instruments. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis, while quantitative data were examined using frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. The findings indicated that the components of ethical leadership identified through document synthesis consist of five key elements: 1) fairness, 2) integrity, 3) responsibility, 4) trust, and 5) respect. The experts rated the overall appropriateness of these components as very high, while the overall feasibility was rated as high.
