Abstract

The purposes of this research were to conduct a confirmatory factor analysis of the measurement models for digital technology vision and digital technology leadership among school administrators and to analyze the structural relationship between digital technology vision and digital technology leadership. The sample consisted of 210 school administrators in Southern Thailand, obtained through simple random sampling from the school directory. The research instruments included a digital technology vision scale and a digital technology leadership scale, both of which underwent preliminary content validity verification by experts. Data were collected online via Google Forms and analyzed using descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM). The research findings revealed that: 1) The theoretical measurement model for digital technology vision showed a very good fit with the empirical data (CFI=0.98, TLI=0.97, RMSEA=.05), with coefficients of determination (R2) for the 11 items ranging from 0.45 to 0.78 and a Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of 0.90; 2) The theoretical measurement model for digital technology leadership demonstrated a good fit with the empirical data (CFI=0.95, TLI=0.94, RMSEA=.07), with coefficients of determination (R2) for the 20 items ranging from 0.53 to 0.77 and a Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of 0.96; and 3) The structural relationship model between digital technology vision and digital technology leadership was consistent with the empirical data at a very good level (CFI=0.97, TLI=0.96, RMSEA=.08). Digital technology vision had a statistically significant positive relationship with digital technology leadership at the .01 level and could predict digital technology leadership by 77 percent.
