Development of Learning Management Using KWL Plus Technique with Multimediato Enhance Reading Comprehension Skills for Mathayomsuksa 3 Students

Abstract
Reading comprehension skills are profoundly essential for knowledge acquisition in the 21st century; however, students still lack systematic strategies and reading motivation. Consequently, the integration of the KWL Plus technique with multimedia was applied to organize cognitive processes and stimulate learners' interest. This research aimed to: 1) construct and develop learning management plans; 2) compare reading comprehension skills before and after the implementation of the learning management; 3) investigate student satisfaction towards the learning management; and 4) propose guidelines for the development of learning management. The sample consisted of 30 Mathayomsuksa 3/1 students at Pha In Plaeng Wittaya School, Erawan District, Loei Province, during the second semester of the 2025 academic year, obtained through purposive sampling. The research instruments encompassed learning management plans, a reading comprehension test, a satisfaction assessment form, and semi-structured interviews with three experts. Data analysis employed the E1/E2 efficiency criteria, t-test, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis. The research findings revealed that: 1) the learning management plans yielded an efficiency of 84.33/86.11, which was higher than the established criterion; 2) the post-instructional reading comprehension skills were significantly higher than the pre-instructional skills at the .05 statistical level; 3) the overall student satisfaction was at a high level ; and 4) the developmental guidelines should emphasize supporting the use of diverse multimedia to continuously foster positive attitudes, coupled with driving the cognitive organization process through concept mapping. Furthermore, instructors should clearly elucidate learning objectives and evaluation criteria, as well as screen and design multimedia appropriate for the learners' age.
