The The Requirement and Factors in Deciding to Choose to Study In Graduate Diploma Program in Teaching Profession Faculty of Education, Buriram Rajabhat University

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the requirements for studying in the Graduate Diploma Program in teacher profession program, faculty of education, Buriram Rajabhat University, and 2) study factors in deciding to study in the graduate diploma program in teacher professional program, faculty of education, Buriram Rajabhat University. Target groups included people who were graduated in bachelor’s degree or equivalent performing teaching duties in private and government schools that have not received professional licenses in 2022 academic year in Buriram Province. These were 100 people who were expected to pursue for a graduate diploma program in Teacher Professional Program at Faculty of Education, Buriram Rajabhat University. Research tools were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, and content analysis. The findings indicated that 1) the majority participants were female, aged 21-25 years old, graduated bachelor’s degree from Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences programs from Buriram Rajabhat University, being worked in public and private schools. 2) requirements for studying showed that 98 participants wanted to pursue the program at Buriram Rajabhat University, reveal high confidence with the curriculum offered, pay tuition based on the unit registered, attend class on Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., teach as blended class, focus on designing teaching materials, and practice on measurement and evaluation matters., and 3) factors affecting decision to pursue the program found that the overall result was high level. The highest aspect to the lowest was the image of the university, learners supporting, and expenses and benefits, respectively.
