SUPPLY CHAIN RELATIONSHIP QUALITY, LOGISTICS FLEXIBILITY AND MARITIME LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE THAT AFFECTS SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE OF WATER TRANSPORTATION SERVICE PROVIDERS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to 1) Study the level of supply chain relationship quality, logistics resilience, maritime logistics performance, and sustainable supply chain performance of water carriers; 2) Study the direct and indirect influences of supply chain relationship quality, logistics resilience, and maritime logistics performance on sustainable supply chain performance of water carriers; and 3) Propose a model for developing sustainable supply chain performance quality of water carriers. This research utilized a mixed-methods approach. The sample consisted of 400 water carriers and 17 key informants (executives, academics, experts, and representatives from government agencies/associations). The instruments used were questionnaires and interview forms. Statistics used included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, confirmatory factor analysis, and path analysis using structural equation modeling. The reliability of the qualitative data was examined by cross-checking with the informants. The results showed that supply chain relationship quality, logistics resilience, and maritime logistics performance with sustainable supply chain performance of water carriers were at an appropriate level. The model confirmed the joint influence of positive supply chain relationships on logistics resilience, maritime logistics performance, and sustainable supply chain performance. Logistics resilience influences maritime logistics performance and supply chain performance, with maritime logistics performance having the highest impact on sustainable supply chain performance. The Sustainable Supply Chain Development Framework emphasizes relationships, increases logistics resilience, and leverages digital operations, resilient infrastructure, and clean energy to transport water efficiently and sustainably.
