The Adventure of Maquid for Jazz Orchestra

Abstract

The Adventure of Maquid for Jazz Orchestra is new composition which combines 20th century classical music and jazz music; used irregular meter, phase shifting, grouping 3/4 on 4/4 meter and ambiguous harmony. Furthermore, This piece has improvisation section for presenting abillity of musician. The length of this piece is about 12 minutes. This work was performed at Thailand International Jazz Conference 2015 (College of Music Mahidol University), Monday Night Live Part V (Conservatory of Music, Rangsit University) and 2017 Bigband Madness (Taipei, Taiwan).
