Arrangement’s concept Somewhere Somehow

Abstract

“Somewhere Somehow,” a royal musical composition, was one of the songs performed in “48 Forever Song Concert” by The Siam Philharmonic Orchestra at Thailand Cultural Centre with the Silpathorn Award winner,
Vanich Potavanich, as the conductor. The royal musical composition “Somewhere Somehow” was a very interesting piece of music considering its pattern and melody, perfect for a harmony arrangement for an orchestra.
The arranger had arranged the concept of the song by implementing the imagination regarding picturesque atmosphere and natural serenity of the Bhubing Palace, including the lyrics of “Somewhere Somehow.” Moreover, the arranger applied the flugelhorn as the main melody, instead of singing, and there was a large orchestra supporting the melody. Each section of the song highlighted the signature of each musical instrument used. It also had the mix of various musical instruments and the harmonious melody, which was composed anew, based on emotions and feelings of each musical section, mainly reflecting the meaning of each melody section in the royal musical composition.
