Sacred Dance of homage to Spiritual Worship in THAI’s Boxing : Coherences and Overriding

The objective of this research is to study the history of Thai boxing, boxing in Siam, including its cultural contexts, postures, beliefs, rites and music played while a battle of Korat boxing, Chaiya boxing, Tha Sao boxing and Lopburi boxing to be classified, analyzed and explained definition, coherence and overriding. Moreover, its handbook is made to publicize to common people. The researcher applied the concept of the charter of ICOMOS, the knowledge management and the management of intangible cultural heritage, respectively.
The research findings revealed that the evidence of Thai boxing was found since the Age of Ram Khamhaeng the Great, who composed the treatise on war strategy related to a close combat considered the responsibility of Tapunyachang and Jaturongkabat. In the Age of Thonburi, the boxing instructors were Kru Mek from Baan Tha Sao and Mr. Thongdee Funkhao, who is a prototype, which was surveyed the patterns of sacred dance of homage to spiritual worship in Thai boxing.
There are 4 dancing patterns of Chaiya boxing: 1) Krabbenjangkhapradit, 2) Truajlom, 3) Yangsamkhum and 4) Sualakhang. There are 11 dancing patterns of Lopburi boxing: 1) Theppanom, 2) Krabbenjangkhapradit, 3) Thawaibangkom, 4) Thawaimadkru, 5) Sodsoimala, 6) Saonoiprapaeng, 7) Labhokmokkhasak, 8) Nokyungfonhang, 9) Naraikhwangjak, 10) Phraramphaengsorn and 11) Kumcherngkru. There are 5 dancing patterns of Korat boxing: 1) Dernthaksinwat, 2) Krabbenjangkhapradit, 3) Thawaibangkom, 4) Kobphramaethoranee and 5) Yangsamkhum. There are 5 dancing patterns of Tha Sao boxing: 1) Krabbenjangkhapradit, 2) Kobmek, 3) Songmek, 4) Taimek and 5) Sualakhang.
When classifying and analyzing the definitions, it was found that 1) worship of holy things, 2) remembrance of a favor of parents and teachers and 3) survey of boxing arena and show-off of dancing and threat to opponents. The coherences were Krabbenjangkhapradit, Thawaibangkom, Sualakhang and Yangsamkhum. The different overridings of Chaiya boxing gym were Truajlom, Theppanom, Thawaimadkru, Sodsoimala, Saonoiprapaeng, Labhokmokkhasak, Nokyungfonhang, Naraikhwangjak, 1Phraramphaengsorn and Kumcherngkru. The dress of Lopburi boxing gyms which was different from other gyms was to binding a rope around an ankle, including equipping a boxing headband and binding a boxing scarf for fortune according to its belief. The played music instruments comprised of a Thai oboe, a Thai drum and a pair of small cup-shaped cymbals. The most ancient gym is Chiya boxing. Therefore.
