CONDUCTING GUIDE THROUGH PERFORMANCE PRACTICE: RATCHADAMNOEN MUSIC COMPOSITION BY VANICH POTAVANICH

Abstract

A thesis entitled Conducting Guide Through Performance Practice: Ratchadamnoen Music Composition by Vanich Potavanich is Qualitative research in which the researcher studied related documents of academic papers and observed rehearsals of the piece. The researcher also interviewed the composer and other wind band directors from three schools with empirical works at national and international levels on rehearsal techniques and practice development. 1) Study aims to analyze and interpretation of Ratchadamnoen by Vanich Potavanich. 2) Study aims to rehearse suggestions for a conductor. 3) Study aims to performance practice development for "Ratchadamnoen" by Vanich Potavanich.

The result found 1) Able to analyze and deeply for interpretation "Ratchadamnoen" by explaining the details of the arrangements of the song for the best benefit in rehearsal. 2) The researcher studied the conducting guide through the rehearsal of the wind band. Recognizes the importance of a rehearsal technique to be used in rehearsals for the most benefit in the band rehearsal. 3) The researcher has developed performance practice exercises for playing each style of articulation based on music theory.
