CREATIVE MUSIC INNOVATION USING LOCAL MUSIC IDENTITY IN SUPHANBURI PROVINCE IT IS A BASE FOR LEARNING AND PROMOTING

Abstract

This research aims to create a creative music innovation using the local musical identity of Suphanburi province as a foundation for learning and promoting the well-being of the elderly. The study investigates the identity of local songs and surveys the well-being of the elderly in U Thong district, Suphanburi, to gather data for analyzing the musical identity of the province and creating a creative music innovation with movement gestures for use in music performances to promote the well-being of the elderly.

The study found that the musical identity of Suphanburi province includes the "E-Sao" singing style, which is commonly found in central Thailand, featuring songs such as rice-related songs, prayer songs, and boat songs. These songs differ in terms of their singing accents and lyrical content, which have evolved over time, but still maintain the distinct accent of Suphanburi. The musical innovation created from this research includes songs like rice-related songs, boat songs, and E-Sao songs, with accompanying gestures designed using sign language. The movements such as stepping together, stringing a necklace, and harvesting rice engage all body muscles and improve balance.

The evaluation results of the musical innovation indicate that it is highly appropriate for real-world application, with an average score of 4.60 () and a standard deviation of 0.19.
