บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลกระทบของการประกาศซื้อหุ้นคืนต่อผลตอบแทนและอัตราส่วนทางการเงินของบริษัทในกลุ่ม SET100 ในช่วงมกราคม พ.ศ. 2567 ถึงมิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2568 ซึ่งเป็นช่วงที่ตลาดหุ้นไทยมีผลการดำเนินงานต่ำกว่าตลาดหุ้นโลกอย่างชัดเจน โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีการศึกษาเหตุการณ์ กำหนดช่วงเหตุการณ์ t-15 ถึง t+15 วันทำการ และช่วงประมาณค่า 120 วันทำการก่อนหน้าวันประกาศซื้อหุ้นคืน


ผลการศึกษาแสดงให้เห็นว่าการประกาศซื้อหุ้นคืนมีความสัมพันธ์กับการเกิดผลตอบแทนเกินปกติอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ
ในช่วงเวลาสั้นรอบวันประกาศ (t+0 และ t+1) และในบางช่วงก่อนการประกาศ (t-6 และ t-11) สะท้อนบทบาทการซื้อหุ้นคืนในฐานะกลไกการส่งสัญญาณเชิงบวกต่อการรับรู้ของนักลงทุนภายใต้ภาวะข้อมูลไม่สมมาตรและระดับประสิทธิภาพของตลาดแบบกึ่งเข้มแข็ง อย่างไรก็ตามผลตอบแทนเกินปกติสะสมไม่แสดงหลักฐานของการสร้างมูลค่าอย่างต่อเนื่องในช่วงเหตุการณ์ที่ศึกษา


สำหรับผลการวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบอัตราส่วนทางการเงิน (EPS, ROE, D/E และ P/BV) ในช่วงไตรมาสก่อนและไตรมาสหลังการประกาศซื้อหุ้นคืนด้วยสถิติ paired t-test และการทดสอบลำดับที่โดยเครื่องหมายของวิลค็อกซัน พบว่าไม่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ยกเว้นค่า P/BV ที่ปรับลดลงเล็กน้อยอย่างมีนัยสำคัญเชิงส่วนเพิ่ม สะท้อนถึงความระมัดระวังของนักลงทุนต่อการซื้อหุ้นคืนในตลาดไทย ผลการศึกษาชี้ว่าการซื้อหุ้นคืนของบริษัทในกลุ่ม SET100 ในภาวะตลาดขาลงทำหน้าที่เป็นกลไกส่งสัญญาณและรักษาเสถียรภาพของตลาดในระยะสั้นมากกว่าจะเป็นเครื่องมือในการสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มในระยะยาว บทความนี้มีคุณค่าเชิงวิชาการในการขยายความเข้าใจบทบาทของการซื้อหุ้นคืนในบริบทตลาดเกิดใหม่ และมีนัยเชิงปฏิบัติต่อการตีความข้อมูลของนักลงทุน การกำหนดนโยบายทางการเงินของผู้บริหาร และการกำกับดูแลตลาดทุน
