Bunthung Kantrum Troupe, Tambol Khoktaduang ,Prakhonchai District ,Buriram Province.

Abstract

This study was a qualitative research based on the Ethnomusicology in recording and analyzing the data collected from the field work. It was a case study of Buriram Buntung Kantrum Troupe, Tambon Khoktadong, Prakhonchai District, Buriram Province. The purposes of this study were to study: 1) Biography and track record, 2) Inherited to Buntung Kantrum Troupe, 3) The physical characteristics of the musical instruments of Kantrum, and 4) The musicological music traits of Kantrum. The results of the study were as follows:

1. Biographies and works of Mr. Buntung Panapoy found that Mr. Buntung Panapoy was born on November 30, 1945 graduating class 1 (Ps. 1) currently residing at 130/3 Moo 8 Tambon Khoktadong, Prakhonchai District, Buriram Province.
