Abstract

          This research and study on the Headline language that used in the Thai Weekly magazine which analyze the tendency of Thai political during the period 2011-2014, has the objective aim to study and to understand the meaning and the source of derivation of spoken language and non-spoken language and the characteristic which express on the Cover page, Headline of the Thai weekly Magazine by using the concept how to use the language for communication, the concept of how to use the graphic or symbolic graphic picture for communicate the contexts, the concept of none-verbal language and the concept how to use or express the language for analyzed the Thai political tendency. The 3 Thai weekly magazines were used for data collection the Siam Rat weekly, Matichon weekly, and the Nation weekend. Total 425 copies. The result found that

          The direct meaning and the source of derivation of both verbal language and non-verbal language.

          The direct meaning of verbal language have 15 characteristics from the most to the less respectively as follows, concerning the political tendency, about the important person, concerning on the words or the verbal speaking of a person, concerning the Royal Family, the religious belief and custom, on the mass media, on the flooding disaster, on the literature dimension, on the cinematography, on the song, concerning about the economic and the others such as the technology, the problem in the Southern part of Thailand, and the idiom expression and the Comparison.

          For the meaning and the source of the non-verbal language which Communicates the indirect meaning found 11 characteristics, from the most to the less respectively as follows. Concerning the idiom expression and the comparison, on the political, on the important person, on the technology and the Communication, on the Song, the literature, the Cinematographic, the belief, the southern problem, the economic, and the word speaking of some person respectively.

          For the direct and indirect meaning of the non verbal speaking language have found 6 characteristics ordering from the most to the less respectively, as follow the expression of  the body position or body language, the dressing appearance, and the body decorative, the symbolic expression, the sensitive contraction, the eyes contacts expression, respectively.

          The characteristic of the Headline languages expression found 14 characteristic in the weekly magazines ordering from the most to the less respectively as follow, using transliterate language, using the proper noun, using the mimic word for the politicians, using the oral  language, which emphasizing on the vowel rhymes and alliteration to emphasize on the vowel sound, using the same words repeatedly, and using the literacy style words, and slang language, using the abbreviation, using the impolite words, using the sound of the final consonant, using the local dialect, and using the same repeated words respectively.
