Abstract

             The research title "An Application of Interest in Buddhism and Sufficiency Economy Theory in Forest Cultivation of Kamneng Charoensiri of Chumsaeng Sub-district, Satuk District, Buriram Province” consists of 3 objectives as follows; 1) to study of interest in Buddhism, 2) to study of Sufficiency Economy Theory and 3) to study of an application of Interest in Buddhism and Sufficiency Economy Theory in Forest Cultivation of Kamneng Charoensiri of Chumsaeng Sub-district, Satuk District, Buriram Province. This research is qualitative Research, which is analyzed data from the Tripitaka, Buddhist academic documents, and the relation researches. It is a field-based study. Those data are used by descriptive analysis method.

             The research’s result found that:

             Interest or benefit means life's prosperity or something that will help life grow, or it means benefits bringing happiness, wealth, and virtues that advance life. In other words, it means the goal or aim of human life. If one’s aim focuses on useful actions, it means one’s actions are conducive to goodness, happiness, and benefit to such goodness and happiness. Those happiness contain with three levels: 1) the benefit obtainable here and now called Ditthadhammikkatta, 2) the benefit to be won in the next life called Samparayikattha, and 3) The great benefit or effect means Nibbana called Paramattha.

           The concept of sufficiency economy can be applied in many levels, dimensions, and forms. Manage life by using the principles and morals as a fundamental guideline to the conditions you are facing. to be able to support oneself Based on the basis of moderation, sufficiency moderate consumption, not greed, reasonableness and carelessness. It is a moral and ethical development with self-reliance.
