Application of the Iddhipàda Principle in the Students’ Conduct of the Independent Education Centers, Sadao District, Songkhla Province

Abstract

          The purpose of this research were: 1) to study the concept of students' conduct, 2) to investigate Iddhipàda principle in Theravada Buddhist scriptures, and 3) to apply the principle of Iddhipàda in the students' conduct of the Independent Education Centers, Sadao District, Songkhla Province. It is qualitative research focusing on document research and Field Research.
          The research results found that:
          1. The causes of aggressive behavior of students were parents, lacking conscience, family care and warmth of family, cooperation of society, and parents' understanding of the behavior of adolescents.
          2. Iddhipàda refers to the principle leading to success: Chanda: aspiration, Viriya: effort, Citta: thoughtfulness, and Vimamsa: investigation for further rectification.
          3. Application of the Iddhipàda in the conduct of students of Independent Education Centers, Sadao District, Songkhla Province, on the study, manners, and responsibility results in better outcomes.
