The Development of Thai Word Formation Skill by using the Creative Language Activities Toward Word Formation for Foreign Students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Chiang Rai Rajabhat University

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop the efficiency of the language creative activity set. On word formation for foreign students Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Chiang Rai Rajabhat University,  2) to compare academic achievement for foreign students. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Chiang Rai Rajabhat University Between before class and after class using a set of creative language activity training kits on word formation for foreign students, and 3) to study the satisfaction of foreign students with learning activities. About creating words in Thai using language creative activity sets on word formation for foreign students Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Chiang Rai Rajabhat University. The population used in the study is 31 third-year Chinese students, semester 1, academic year 2022 (Yuxi Normal University) who have made an MOU 2+2 with Chiang Rai Rajabhat University. The researcher has created a set of language creative activities. About word formation for students oreigners it is a flashcard of 150 words. The statistics used to analyze the data are a 4-choice, 30-question test and statistics on finding the average. Standard deviation, frequency value, evaluate satisfaction according to objective number 3.
          The research result found that:
          1. A set of creative language activities on word formation for foreign students. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Chiang Rai Rajabhat University that were created had an efficiency exceeding 80/80, i.e. a total efficiency of 81.33/85.78.
          2. Comparing achievement, the pre-study score had an average of 15.87, calculated as 52.66 percent, and the post-study score had a mean of 25.03, calculated as 83.24 percent, with the average score after studying being higher than before studying.
          3. International students' satisfaction with learning activities About creating words in Thai using language creative activity sets on word formation for foreign students Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Chiang Rai Rajabhat University is at the level Most satisfied, mean 4.97, standard deviation 0.17.
