This academic article, titled Cosmeceutical Production Management According to the Iddhipada 4 Principles for Enhancing Operational Efficiency, aimed to study and analyze management approaches in the cosmeceutical industry by integrating the Buddhist principles of Iddhipada 4 into operational processes to enhance efficiency. The industry placed paramount importance on knowledge management, strict compliance with production standards, proactive forecasting, and resource allocation. However, amidst technological complexities, human resources remained the most critical factor influencing operational success or errors in the production line.
The study revealed that applying Iddhipada 4, comprising Chanda, aspiration, Viriya, effort, Citta, active thought, and Vimamsa, investigation served as an internal control mechanism that concretely transforms employee behavior. The application began with Chanda, which inspired staff to pay close attention to precise ingredient preparation and weighing. Viriya built the endurance required to maintain strict cleanliness standards according to good manufacturing practices. Citta enhanced thoroughness in quality control, such as monitoring acidity-alkalinity and viscosity levels. Finally, Vimamsa promoted systematic root-cause analysis when products fall below standards, effectively reducing defect rates.
Integrating modern management science with these Buddhist principles led to the synthesis of new knowledge, represented as PQM Model, standing for Proactive Quality Mindset. This model demonstrated that utilizing Iddhipada 4 as the core of consciousness directly drove the operational system, transforming strict industrial regulations into a strong organizational culture. The targeted outcome was the organization's ability to achieve zero behavioral errors, mitigated production risks, and built absolute confidence in delivering the safest cosmeceutical products to consumers. Ultimately, this approach enhanced operational efficiency in a concrete and sustainable manner
