THE STUDY ON EFFICIENCY OF ACTIVE LEARNING MANAGEMENTINCASE STYDY OF THE 2nd YEAR HIGH VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATE STUDENTS IN ANIMAL SCIENCE

Abstract

Yasothon College of Agriculture and Technology has 2^nd-year High Vocational Diploma students in Animal Science—Artificial Insemination subject in 2020 with low learning outcomes in Unit 6 on semen quality assessment. A learning management plan has been developed with an 8-step active learning management design to develop learners in the academic year 2021 to achieve higher results. Therefore, this research aims to develop learners to achieve results: qualitative and quantitative goals and indicators of student outcomes have changed for the better. This research uses the 8-step active learning management plan to develop 12 learners in the Artificial Insemination subject. Evaluate student outcomes which are quality results according to professional standards of the Animal Science curriculum. Using chi-squared analysis to the comparison between the number of learners who passed the outcome assessment with the expected number of learners who passed the outcome assessment.

              The results showed that the active learning management resulted in the results of the learners achieving qualitative and quantitative goals (P>.05), that is, the 10 learners were able to accurately explain the process of presenting the results of animal semen quality analysis, be disciplined, careful and punctual, and able to operate according to the specified worksheets and the 11 learner outcomes have changed for the better. Therefore, the 8-step active can be used to manage learning in the Animal Science profession, resulting in better quality recent learners than passed.
