CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION THEORY: A RAPID CALL FOR DEVELOPING CURRICULUM THEORY

Abstract

Curriculum theory is significant for curriculum development as knowledge to explain important questions about itself. The value of curriculum theory studying is placed on questions about curriculum. Curriculum developers need to seriously take consideration about those questions with clear and based on steady and sufficient principles before drafting written curriculum. The guidelines of curriculum implementation and evaluation should be clear accorded to beliefs on each conceptual framework of curriculum development. Thai curriculum developers have been studied curriculum theories and apply principles of curriculum developments for lasting 50 years found that there are many curriculum development theories and them was obviously implemented and evaluated. Whereas curriculum implementation theory is very rare and not clear. Nevertheless, curriculum implementation is so important to the curriculum effectiveness. Therefore, it is vital for Thai curriculum developers should help together to develop more effective curriculum implementation theory.
