A STUDY OF VIRTUE AND MORALITY OF STUDENTS AT INSTITUTE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to study and compare the levels of virtue and morality of students at Institute of Physical Education, regarding discipline, responsibility, honesty, sacrifice, patience, and adequacy in overall and each aspect classified by gender and grade point average (GPA). The samples were 375 students, studied at Institute Physical Education in the second semester of the academic year 2018. The research instrument was a five-rating scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, a one-way Analysis of variance, and Scheffe’s paired test.
The research found that
- The virtue and morality of students at Institute of Physical Education in overall and each aspect were at a high level.
- There was no significant difference between the virtue and morality of male and female students in overall and each aspect.
- There was no significant difference between the virtue and morality of the students whose grade point average were different in overall and the aspects of discipline, responsibility, sacrifice, patience, and adequacy. When
each aspect was considered, it was found that there was a significant difference of honesty between the students whose grade point of high and moderate.
