The Construction of Hero Reflecting Through Crisis News Reporting : A Case Study of Moo-pa Academy Young Soccer Team

This research aims to study of the creation of heroes from the news reports of the football event “Moo Pa Academy Team” trapped in flooded “Tham Luang” cave, and the guidelines for determining news reporting issues in the media environment. This is qualitative research. Textal analysis is applied for studying the construction of heroes from news repoted by the top 10 online news website. Depth – intersviews are conducted with 7 news reporters.
The results of the study found that in the part of giving the status of heroes to the source, The media will have criteria for selecting people, choosing the person who has the closest character- istics to the characteristics of the heroic as the most definition.
For example, The sacrifice of Sergeant Sam, The leadership of the governor Narongsak, The Strength of Doctor Phak by headlines, under headlines, illustrations, technical news and news reporting formats by rhetoric, image, various forms by use stylistic symbols stylistic reform Rhet- oric, metaphor, morality and image and Including features of value news. For the issue of media coverage found that most of the media will rely on the value of news features as the basis for determining news issues, e.g. Novelty, Timeliness, Human Interest, Consequence, Progress and Eminence.
